Jo-Ann is a writer, facilitator, and small business owner. Five years ago, she experienced the heartbreaking loss of her 25-year-old daughter, Nicolette—a journey that profoundly shaped her perspective and inspired her to help others find solace through writing.
With a degree in Music and Education from NYU, Jo-Ann began her professional life as a singer and actress before transitioning to corporate America, where she spent over 20 years as a Project Manager and Events Director. In 2018, she launched her own business, offering specialized marketing, research, and organizational services.
Jo-Ann is celebrating a milestone year with the upcoming publication of her children’s book and her first book of poetry, both reflecting her dedication to storytelling and creative expression. She is also working on a young adult novel, further showcasing her passion for connecting with readers of all ages.
In addition to her writing, Jo-Ann facilitates workshops on soul and automatic writing, providing compassionate spaces for healing and creativity, especially for those grieving the loss of a loved one. Her belief in the transformative power of words shines through her work.
Jo-Ann lives in Massapequa, NY, with her husband, Will, and her 21-year-old daughter, Joanna, who is a student at City College, NYC.
